Proper Care For A Pug
By Kristina Porter
What many people don't realize by purchasing a Pug, is that they are a high maintenance dog. Pug's are a beautiful breed. They are loyal, great with children and very protective. However they require alot of care. Pugs come with alot of food and skin allergies. If you own a pug you soon realize that adorable smooshy face is teaming with stinky bacteria that must be cleaned from beneath sweaty fat rolls. Their eyes water and run into their facial wrinkles giving them that swamp funk smell. Their ears get infected easily as well. Their skin is very sensitive to glues and chemicals. You will also notice that they shed alot, and to combat the shedding you must brush them atleast twice a day. Its either that or keep them shaved to miniumize all the dead dog hair. They are one of the hardest to train and hardest to housebreak because they are such a domineering dog. They can be very obstinate. I wouldn't trade my pug for the world but I sure wish he came with a warning label when I bought him that said: "Constant work in progress".
